Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar emphasized the crucial role of youth in Pakistan’s development during his address on Sunday. He highlighted that the younger generation played a pivotal role in the creation of Pakistan and continues to be the driving force behind its progress. His statement reaffirmed the government's belief in the potential of the youth and the need to invest in their education, skills, and empowerment.

In August 2024, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated multiple programs aimed at youth development, including the Commonwealth Asia Youth Alliance Secretariat, Digital Learning Portal, AI for Youth Programme, Smart Youth Smart Pakistan, and the National Volunteer Corps. These initiatives are designed to provide young Pakistanis with the skills and opportunities necessary to thrive in a competitive global environment.

The Prime Minister's Youth Programme, led by Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, focuses on creating real opportunities for skill development and future growth. Notable projects under this program include the Green Youth Movement, which engages university students in environmental conservation efforts, and the Talent Hunt Youth Sports League, aimed at discovering and nurturing talent in various sports disciplines.

Furthermore, the government has emphasized the importance of digital inclusion and technological advancement. The "ICTs for Girls" program, for instance, aims to empower young women by providing access to digital tools and education, enabling them to contribute effectively to the ICT sector.
