Surprisingly, in our exploration, we consistently observed that 20°C serves as a crucial temperature for numerous biodiversity metrics, extending beyond just marine species. Instances demonstrate that temperatures exceeding approximately 20°C lead to declines in essential measures, such as the tolerance of low oxygen in both marine and freshwater species.
