Honour killings remain a tragic reality in Pakistan, rooted in outdated customs and ignorance. The recent brutal murder of Bano Bibi and Ahsanullah in Balochistan highlights the urgent need for justice, education, and religious awareness. Islam permits love and choice in marriage, yet toxic traditions continue to cost innocent lives. It is time for society to reject violence in the name of “izzat” and embrace true honour — protecting life and upholding human dignity.
