Why the human soul so restless?

Why does your heart feel empty even when you have everything? This article reveals why the human soul feels restless, anxious and depressed. It explains ..

Why the human soul so restless?

The Question We All Hide

Have you ever felt it? You have everything. A phone in your hand, money in your pocket, friends online, family around you... yet at 2 AM your eyes open and your heart says, "Something is missing."

What is that something?

It is an emptiness that no person, no wealth, no success can fill. This restlessness is not of the body. This tiredness doesn't go away with sleep. This is actually the crying of your soul.

1. What Science Says - Your Brain Is Overstimulated

Modern neuroscience tells a hard truth: You are not restless, you are overstimulated.

Your brain is consuming information 24 hours a day. Reels, news, other people's happiness, comparisons, notifications. Because of this, your brain's "Default Mode Network" never switches off.

Demaged dopamine system.

Your dopamine system gets damaged. Earlier a small joy was enough, now even a thousand likes don't make you happy. Science calls it "Dopamine Burnout."

And the second poison is Cortisol. When you constantly think about the future - "What will happen to me? Will I get a job? What will people say?" - your brain releases a stress hormone. This hormone makes your chest heavy, your breath fast, and your heart restless. Doctors call this Anxiety.

So science says: You are restless because you are not living in the "Now". You are either living in yesterday's regret or tomorrow's fear.

2. What Islam Says -

You are not a body, you are a soul. Now listen to a deeper truth no doctor will tell you.

Islam divides humans into 3 parts: Jism (Body), Nafs (Desires), and Rooh (Soul).

The body is made of dust, its food also comes from dust - bread, water, sleep.

The Nafs is made of desires, its food is praise, fame, and control.

But the Rooh... The Rooh is from the command of Allah. "Say, the soul is from the affair of my Lord." Quran 17:85

The Rooh is not even a creature of this world. Its home is near Jannah. So as long as it remains away from Allah, it will suffer.

Imam Al-Ghazali said: "In every heart there is a hole that can only be filled by the love of Allah. If you try to fill it with this world, the noise will only increase."

That is why Allah said: "Whoever turns away from My remembrance - indeed, he will have a depressed life." Quran 20:124

Your depressed life, your suffocation, your restlessness - it is not a punishment. It is a sign from Allah saying "My servant, come back. You are searching for peace at the wrong door."

The connection of the soul is like WiFi. As long as it is connected to Allah, peace keeps downloading. As soon as prayer stops, Quran stops, heartfelt dua stops - the signal becomes weak. And when the signal is weak, darkness of anxiety and depression begins.

3. What Doctors Say . Now That They Didn't Say Before

Previously, doctors only gave medicine. Now the biggest psychiatrists in the world say: Medicine is only 30% of the cure. 70% of the cure is your lifestyle and your spiritual system.

Harvard doctors said: "The 5 things that help depression the most are - Morning sunlight, deep prostration (Sajdah), deep breathing, forgiving someone, and helping others more than yourself."

If you think about it, these 5 things have been in our Deen for 1400 years - Fajr, Sajdah, Zikr, Afw (Forgiveness), and Sadaqah.

Medicine fixes the brain, Zikr brings the heart back to life.

4. How Will Healing Happen? - An Aesthetic Return

You don't need to go anywhere to be healed. You just need to return.

A) The Wudu of Silence:

Once a day, mute the world for 10 minutes. No mobile, no people. Just you and Allah. Do wudu and sit on the prayer mat. Don't ask for anything, just say "O Allah, I am tired." This one sentence will open the closed door of your soul.

B) Write To Your Soul:

Take a diary. Name it "Conversations With My Soul." Write down all your restlessness. Then below it write "O Allah, this burden is now Yours." As soon as you write it, your heart will feel lighter. This is not journaling, this is writing a letter to Allah.

C) Fasting of The Soul:

Just like the body fasts, make your soul fast too. For one day, fast from complaining, backbiting, music that makes your heart heavy, and useless scrolling. See how light you will feel by evening.

Final Secret - If You Are Restless, Congratulations

My dear friend, if you are restless, then congratulations. Because stones are never restless. Dead hearts are never restless.

Your restlessness is proof that your soul is still alive. It doesn't want to die. It is searching for light in this dark world.

Allah doesn't want to kill you with this restlessness, He wants to awaken you.

So tonight, when everyone is asleep, get up. Do wudu. And look at the sky and say...

"O my Lord, call my soul back to You while I am still alive."

That is where your healing will begin.

Why Is The Human Soul So Restless?

Have you ever felt empty at 2 AM even with everything? That emptiness is not your body, it is your soul crying.

Science says you are overstimulated. Reels, news, and comparison keep your brain's Default Mode Network always on. This causes Dopamine Burnout where likes no longer make you happy, and high Cortisol from future fear that causes anxiety. You are not living in the now.

Islam says you are not just a body, you are a soul. You are Jism, Nafs, and Rooh. Your Rooh is from Allah, Quran 17:85, its home is near Jannah. So it will always suffer away from Him. Allah says, "Whoever turns away from My remembrance will have a depressed life" Quran 20:124.

Healing is a return. Mute the world for 10 minutes daily and say "O Allah, I am tired." Fast from complaining and scrolling. Medicine fixes the brain, but Zikr brings the heart back to life.
